What is European Partnership on Innovative SMEs?
This European initiative operates under the Horizon Europe (2021–2027) framework to help innovative small and medium-sized enterprises scale, build international partnerships, and enter global markets. It encompasses programs such as Eurostars-3, Innowwide, and Investment Readiness, which provide funding, training, and access to international business partners. The initiative is managed by the Eureka network and co-funded by the EU with the objective of boosting the growth and competitiveness of innovative SMEs.
The partnership is coordinated through the Eureka network and co-financed by the European Commission together with 37 Eureka member countries.
Key reasons why this partnership is important for businesses:
- It fosters internationalisation and integration into global value chains.
- It strengthens enterprise capacity in research, development, and innovation while boosting overall productivity.
- It enables balanced cross-border collaboration by facilitating access to funding, international partners, and expertise.
